Water Resistance Test for PC 2.1

Water Resistance Test for PC by Sony Mobile

Overview
Water Resistance Test for PC helps Xperia users verify basic water‑resistance readiness and perform post‑exposure checks from a Windows computer. Connect your Xperia device, follow the guided steps, and run quick diagnostics to confirm that ports, audio, and key functions are working as expected after accidental splashes or routine cleaning.

Key features

• Guided pre- and post-exposure checklist: Ensure trays, covers, and gaskets are properly closed before contact with water, and review steps to follow afterward.
• Quick hardware checks: Run speaker, microphone, vibration, touchscreen, camera preview, and charging-port detection tests to spot issues early.
• Clear results: Simple pass/fail indicators with helpful tips for resolving common problems.
• Model-aware guidance: On-screen prompts tailored to supported Xperia models.
• Session report: Save or print a summary of your test results for your records or service inquiries.
• Safety information: Built-in reminders about IP ratings, depth/time limitations, and best practices.

How it works

1. Install the app on your Windows PC and connect your supported Xperia device via USB.
2. Select your device model when prompted.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the checklist and run the recommended tests.
4. Review your results and, if needed, follow the provided care steps or contact support.

System requirements

• Windows 10 or Windows 11
• USB cable and available USB port
• Latest Xperia USB drivers
• Compatible with select Xperia smartphones (compatibility varies by model and region)

Important notes

• This tool does not make a device waterproof and cannot guarantee future water resistance.
• Actual water resistance depends on device condition, proper closure of trays and covers, normal wear, and adherence to your device’s user guide.
• Do not exceed your device’s stated IP rating limits. Avoid liquids other than fresh water unless explicitly specified in the user guide.
• If your device shows signs of damage, malfunction, or liquid ingress, stop using it and seek authorized service.

Keep your Xperia performing at its best with simple, guided checks before and after exposure to water.
